With the recent advances in accessibility to AI bots, delegating portions of tasks has become a critical tool to save brain power and be efficient with your time. This blog post is designed to help stimulate ideas in how Chat GPT can help save time in accomplishing your goals and provide best practices on formatting asks so you can get the value right away.


First, understand the area Chat GPT can help in. While there are a lot more than this, we will just focus on the below areas as they are the quickest to draw value from. These areas are:

  • Writing - You probably already know this one, and have read about how it's been used to write content for slides and even business emails. Make sure to review and edit.

  • Research - Need a great summary of a topic to learn? With the right prompt Chat GPT can help aggregate tons of information and distill it down into something quickly digestible so you can understand what you need to to know what to do next.

Conclusion

In case you couldn't already tell, most of this article was actually written by Chat GPT providing me it's best practices. While it would put out the content I wanted for each of the sections, I would format or edit the previous section. Instead of being both the writer and editor, which at media outlets is often two different people, I delegated part of the work to Chat GPT so that I can focus on making the edits I want as well as the direction for the blog post. This makes writing way less exhausting, more time and energy efficient, and makes the journey a lot of fun. When done right, Chat GPT can feel like it's a valued member of your team that is working along side you. It would be silly to not use such a valuable resource.
